Cross-straits, Hong Kong and Macau Accounting Profession Conference 2007
[Hong Kong, September 2007] The Cross-straits, Hong Kong and Macau Accounting Profession Conference was held on 22 September 2007. More than 400 delegates participated in the Conference, which was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Mr. John Tsang, Financial Secretary, and the presidents of the Institute, the Chinese Institute of CPAs, Taipei City CPA Association and the Union of Associations of Professional Accountants of Macau addressed participants at the Opening Ceremony.
The conference, themed on "Risk Assessment and Management of the Accounting Firms", invited various speakers, ranging from Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau to present this hot issue. Mr. Zhang Ke, the chairman of SHINEWING, was invited to be one of the guest speakers to deliver a speech about the risk issues encountered by CPA practices during the course of handling mergers and acquisitions. In this event, Ms. Wang Xiao Juan, marketing director of SHINEWING (HK) CPA Limited, was also the emcee and one of the committee members in organizing the event.
The Cross-straits, Hong Kong and Macau Accounting Professional Conference is held every year since its' inaugural event in 2006. It aims to encourage and interchange the accounting expertise of different places.
