SHINEWING (HK) CPA Limited was officially formed on August 3, 2005 following the merger with SHINEWING Certified Public Accountants of China. The former entity, Ho and Ho & Company was founded in 1978 by Stuart Ho in Hong Kong. We started as a CPA firm focusing on audit and accounting support for local small and medium companies, as well as Hong Kong branches of international firms and Chinese enterprises.

While we consistently put effort into improving the scope and quality of our services, within three years of our start-up, in 1981, we attained qualification to offer assurance services and IPO advisory services to Hong Kong listed companies. Since then, we have grown our business considerably. Today, most of our clients are major players in the local scene.

Our founder, Stuart Ho has long held the vision for cross border integration between Hong Kong and China. As early as 1990, we were providing professional training for CICPA in Hong Kong, blessed with the approval of China's Ministry of Finance. In 1997 we gained further certification from CICPA to provide assurance services to listed B-share companies in China's Exchanges, and H-share companies in Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In the year 2000, we opened our representative office in Shenzhen, realizing in part our commitment to advance the professional practice within China's accounting system.

Our mainland counterpart SHINEWING Certified Public Accountants was founded in the year 1981 by Zhang Ke in Beijing. Since 2003, SHINEWING CPA has become the largest domestic CPA firm in Beijing, achieving a revenue of RMB121million for the year. The significance of the firm's position is not only measured in size, but also anchored by its vision. It is the first Chinese CPA firm to welcome a foreign practitioner into partnership when the Japanese division was set up under the leadership of Yamamoto Akira.

Driven by a common vision to build a Chinese CPA firm of international quality and standards, the two founders made a decision to join hands in an unprecedented alliance. On August 3, 2005, Ho and Ho & Company merged with SHINEWING Certified Public Accountants, and has since formed SHINEWING (HK) CPA Limited. The merger was seen as a great leap forward for the financial and accounting industry in the country. Leveraging on the established network in mainland China, we hope to expand our presence in the Asia Pacific region and internationally; aiming to provide the highest quality services to all our cross-border clients.

1978	Ho and Ho & Company was established.
1981	Attained qualification to provide assurance services and IPO advisory services to Hong Kong listed companies.
1990	Obtained approval from China's Ministry of Finance to provide professional training for the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA) in Hong Kong.
1997	Obtained approval from the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CICPA) to provide assurance services to PRC listed H-share and B-share companies.
2000	Along with the big four international CPA firms, we obtained approval from China's Ministry of Finance to set up representative office in Shenzhen.
2005	Merged with SHINEWING Certified Public Accountants, the largest domestic CPA firm in Beijing, and formed SHINEWING (HK) CPA Limited.
